Apple Orchards

Nicknamed "Georgia's Apple Capital," Ellijay hosts the annual Georgia Apple Festival in October at the Ellijay Lions Club Fairgrounds. Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., (two weekends).  Over 50 varieties of apples are grown in the region.  Highway 51, known as "Apple Orchard Alley," is the place to go for fresh-from-the-tree apples!

Listing of North Georgia Orchards

Fill in the form to join our "Super Saver Club"   and receive information on Apple House specials and other discounts for activities in North Georgia.

Along "Apple Orchard Alley" on Hwy 52E in Ellijay, there are eleven roadside stands where you can find fresh-picked tree-ripened apples.  You'll also find petting farms, music and "country stores" with donuts, candied apples and more.

Some stands are open August to December.  Some are open year-round.  Please call the farm or orchard BEFORE you go as weather, heavy picking and business conditions can affect their hours and crops!

We suggest that you call the following businesses before you drive there.  We do our best to keep information current.  However, businesses open, close and move without our knowing.  Please let us know, using the correction notice link at the bottom of the page if a business has closed or has changed address, and we will correct the information on our listing.  If you would like to add a comment about a business, you can let us know your thoughts there as well.  Thanks!  Ellijay Marketplace/Customer Service.
